NOTE: My 8th grade students spent only one class period on this, and not all students completed the handout. We will briefly discuss this on Easter Monday. Although it looks rather dry at first, almost every student worked the entire period and seemed interested in learning about familiar and unfamiliar customs and their meanings and origins.
