Make a list of at least ten films that are currently showing in Germany.  While you are searching, see if you can find out the current price for a movie, and typical showing time. Here are some possible web addresses.
http://www.kinoweb.de/wochen/laufend.html    (You will also want to look in the Archiv for films from last year.)

Do not automatically start with the beginning of the alphabet, if you are using an alphabetical listing.  That way all the lists will be different.   Do not choose films that have the same name in English and German, although you will want to be aware that they do exist.

I.  Was läuft im Kino?

       Deutscher Name    Amerikanischer Name

3. What did he do that was remarkable?

Click on Top Ten

      1.  Which films listed in the Top Ten are gaining in popularity?

      2.  What does freigegeben mean in English.

Now click on  Oscar Nominierungen 2001 and look for Bester Film.

Only one nominated movie has a German translation.  What is the name in English and in German?

Was heisst auf englisch

 2.  Darsteller?
 3.  Drehbuch?

IV.  Now go to  http://www.film.de/asp/content/berlinale2001/nominierungen.asp
and look at the list of films that were shown at the Berlinale 2001.  Are there any of the same movies represented?  Why might the lists be so diverse?

And now on to http://www.jump-cut.de/berlinale2001.html
For 3 Pluspunkte……What is the prize for the Berlinale?  Why?  (You need to answer both parts and you will probably need to check out other web sites to find the answer to why?)

Go to http://www.rhein-zeitung.de/freizeit/kino/galerie . Search in the left hand frame to find two favorite movies of yours.  (This is a really comprehensive list of films.  Some will be quite old.)  Click on them and find out what the smiley face rating is.  What do each of the smiles represent?  You can vote, too, if you want.
