TURKEY! TURKIYE! TUERKEI!

I taught English in Istanbul in 1993, where my daughter was born. I lived on the Asian side of town and worked in both Europe and Asia on a daily basis. What an experience! These links feature many beautiful and interesting things in terms of culture, history, arts, tourism, food, etc.

I also like alot of Turkish music. ZEKI MUREN is my favorite! He's like a Turkish Pavarotti. I worship him! Sublime! Check out some of my other favorites on the Turk Pop page. Ajda Pekkan (beautiful lady and voice), Asya, Ebru Gundes, Sibel Tuzun (wow!), Fatih Erkoc (I used to call him Kokorec), and Tark-zan, as I called him. I also liked Hulya Avsar and Aysegul for their beauty, not as much for their music. Ibo and Emrah are highly amusing as well.

Comments, corrections and suggestions for improvement are always welcome.
